Responsibilities:
6+ Experience as an IT Linux server administrator in a virtualized environment
Strong Security Knowledge.
Strong working knowledge of virtualization technologies and VMware products
Strong knowledge of DNS and network tools (ping, traceroute, etc.)
Strong scripting knowledge: Perl scripting, shell scripting and command line utilities
Knowledge of NIS, LDAP, NFS, SMTP, IMAP is required
Deep understanding of basic Network, Firewall and internet protocols required
Puppet/ infoblox experience is a plus
Administer multiple Linux servers running in high availability environment
Configure and install new Linux systems/machines
PHP and shell scripting to automate aspects of systems maintenance
Linux systems performance, tuning, and enhancements
Install patches, configure machines, provide overall support of the Linux environment
Serve as an escalation point to resolve problems in Linux servers and users environment
