CUPS disables/stops my printer on boot

Postby SUDESH-A » Fri Feb 27, 2015 4:04 pm

Whenever I start my computer, the printer always defaults back to being 'stopped' in the CUPS configuration (localhost:631). To use it, I have to go into the config, click 'start' under the printer preferences, and supply my username and password. Yet next time I start my computer up, it's reset back to being stopped. I use Ubuntu 8.10; this never happened in 8.04 and only happened since I upgraded a week or so ago.

Thanks for any help. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
