Permanently deleting files problem

in centos 6.5
i click "empty trash" icon ( in trash folder ) (root user )
my files delete from trash folder but not from hard disk ( space of hard disk does not change )
Where are the deleted files ?

Hi,

I believe you are running Centos on the host machine rather than on VM.

Sometimes it might occur when you delete files improperly. For instance, interupting when cleaning Trash and all. To overcome this situation reboot your machine to clear any buffered data from your Hard Disk.
