using 'yum' on port 443 only

Hi,
I have a server that has port 80 blocked by the sysadmin and I need to find out how I can update CentOS or install any software using port 443 (which is open)? Basically, I need to install some software using 'yum' but it's just cannot connect to port 80. However, if I'm changing the baseurl to 'https' then it works. Unfortunately, I when I change baseurl to 'https' in other repos then they just don't work.
Is it possible at all to use only port 443 instead of 80?
